Judy A. Smith is the founder and President of Smith & Company, a leading strategic and crisis communications firm with offices in Washington D.C. and Los Angeles. Over the last 25 years, Ms. Smith has brought her unique combination of communication skills, media savvy, legal and political acumen to clients facing a wide array of issues and challenges throughout the United States and abroad.

Ms. Smith honed her skills through her experiences with some of the most historic and sensational events of our time, including the Iran Contra investigation, the prosecution of former Washington D.C. Mayor Marion Barry, the 1991 Gulf War, the Los Angeles riots, the Supreme Court confirmation hearings of Justice Clarence Thomas, the President Clinton scandal involving Monica Lewinsky, the congressional inquiry of Enron, the General Petraeus CIA scandal, the Sony Corporation hacking crisis, and the United Nations Foundation and World Health Organization response to the SARS epidemic.

Perhaps best known in media circles for her expertise as a crisis management advisor, Ms. Smith has served as a consultant for a host of high profile, celebrity and entertainment clients over the course of her career including, but not limited to, Monica Lewinsky, Senator Craig from Idaho, Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr., actor Wesley Snipes, NFL quarterback Michael Vick, celebrity chef Paula Deen and the family of Chandra Levy.

Ms. Smith’s portfolio of work also contains an impressive number of high profile engagements involving prominent figures from the world of professional sports. Over the last decade, Ms. Smith has been involved in legal matters concerning NBA players; Kobe Bryant, Chris Webber and Juwan Howard; NFL player Donte Stallworth; MLB’s Gary Sheffield. Smith was a key strategist in the successful defense of former New Jersey Nets Jayson Williams. 

Prior to founding Smith & Company, Ms. Smith was a partner at several Washington D.C.- based public relations firms. Before that, Ms. Smith served as Senior Vice-President of Corporate Communications at NBC where she reported directly to the President and CEO and was responsible for the network’s strategic global communications strategy.  Additionally, she served as NBC’s chief spokesperson for domestic and international programming and business ventures, and also helped with the groundbreaking launch of one of the nation’s first cable news stations, MSNBC.

As a result of her wide ranging and ground breaking career, Shonda Rhimes, creator of ABC’s hit television dramas Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice, developed a television drama about the world of crisis management inspired by Ms. Smith. The series entitled, Scandal, revolves around the life and work of a professional fixer. Ms. Smith serves as Co- Executive Producer of the project and provides insight and technical expertise on crisis management issues.

Ms. Smith is the author of the book, Good Self, Bad Self, published by Free Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, Inc. She has received numerous communications and leadership awards and is active in community service.

Jean Chatzky, the financial editor for NBC’s TODAY show, is an award-winning personal finance journalist, AARP’s personal finance ambassador, an educational partner for Fidelity and a contributing editor for Fortune magazine. Jean is a best-selling author; her most recent books are Operation Money, a free financial guide for military service members and families; and Money Rules: The Simple Path to Lifelong Security. She believes knowing how to manage our money is one of the most important life skills for people at every age and has made it her mission to help simplify money matters, increasing financial literacy both now and for the future. In January, Jean teamed up with Time for Kids and The PwC Charitable Foundation to launch Your $, a financial literacy magazine reaching 2 million schoolchildren each month. She lives with her family in Westchester County, New York.

As Division Vice President, Donna manages the largest human capital portfolio at ADP.  Together, these 20,000 ADP employees serve some of the world’s largest companies as members of National Account Services, Benefits, Recruitment Process Outsourcing, Multinational Companies and Employer Services International.
Prior to Donna’s current role that began in April 2014, Donna served as a global HR leader in the investment banking and pharmaceutical sectors.  While at Credit Suisse Investment Banking, she held notable roles as the Head of Human Resources for the Front Office IT business that included Investment Banking, Private Banking, Asset Management and the Americas Region for ITHR.  In these roles, Donna delivered a number of successes that involved designing talent strategies that enabled the business to remain competitive externally while developing and retaining talent within the organization, creating an agile global workforce strategy that contributed to the company’s success.
Donna’s first role at Credit Suisse was as Head of Human Resources for Technology Infrastructure Services. This business was a critical function in ensuring the proper deployment and operation of hardware, middleware and software throughout the firm.  Donna successfully led the complete human capital redesign and operating model of this business to enable it to respond to new client business requirements.  In addition, she was the Head of Human Resources for the Office IT Strategy business that was responsible for setting the long-term strategic vision of the IT organization that represented 15,000 employees globally.
Previously, Donna was global Head of IT Human Resources for Pfizer Pharmaceutical, where she was responsible for a human capital portfolio with a critical focus on transformation.  She successfully led the transition and integration of worldwide IT across divisions from a decentralized to centralized structure representing Business Technology, Infrastructure, Engineering, Portfolio and Governance and Business Innovation. While at Pfizer Pharmaceutical, she also held roles as the HR Business Partner for various businesses that included business development, Pfizer health solutions, Pfizer Strategic Investment Group and Global Financial Operations.

Yvonne is a Senior Vice President and Global Head of Client Solutions and PMO of the Investment Manager Services group for State Street Corporation. In that role, Yvonne has global responsibility for developing new client relationships, deploying cutting-edge technology and operational processes, and delivering complex consulting engagements for existing and potential State Street clients. Yvonne delivers presentations, seminars, and workshops across the globe in support of State Street business.

Prior to State Street, Yvonne served as Director in Marketing and Distribution Strategy for Liberty Mutual’ s Agency Corporation where she led the development and deployment of complex integrated marketing strategies, including the development and implementation of their Hispanic Marketing initiative. Yvonne also served as Vice President for Bank of America’s China Construction Bank Strategic Assistance. In that role, Yvonne and her team created and implemented over 80 Wealth Management Centers throughout China. Yvonne is a fully certified Six Sigma Black Belt, and applies that discipline, rigor, and process to every project on which she deploys.

Rita Mitjans currently serves as Chief Diversity & Corporate Social Responsibility Officer for ADP. In this role, Rita leads ADP’s global diversity, inclusion and corporate social responsibility efforts, including setting the strategy, establishing clear metrics / benchmarks and developing a roadmap that aligns the activities of Associate Resource Groups (“ARG”s) and supports ADP’s ability to attract and retain the best talent. With respect to Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”), Rita works with the ADP Executive Committee, the CSR Task Force and the ADP Foundation to further develop ADP’s CSR program, ensuring that our initiatives support and align to ADP’s corporate values and priorities.

Rita has a diverse background in marketing and sales, strategy, investor relations, and benefits. As senior vice president, Corporate Marketing for ADP, she had overall responsibility for leading strategic marketing initiatives that drove growth and profitability. Her scope included corporate communications/reputation management, digital marketing, pricing, branding and market intelligence. In this role, Rita created the company’s corporate communications and Employer Services’ digital marketing functions, launched ADP’s social media program and created the ADP Research Institute® which publishes unique insights about workplace trends from ADP’s proprietary research and analytics. As Division Vice President, Benefits Services, Rita was responsible for an $800 million health and welfare benefits program for ADP’s PEO division, TotalSource. In her prior role with TotalSource, Rita was also responsible for leading a major new product launch and leading the divisions’ strategic planning and marketing function.

Before joining ADP TotalSource, she spent 10 years in a variety of positions in marketing, strategy/business development and investor relations at Bankers Trust Company and Deutsche Bank AG. Before joining Bankers Trust, she was a district sales manager with Georgia-Pacific Corporation in Darien, CT. She holds a master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from St. John’s University.

Dr. Holly Phillips, a Board Certified General Internist in private practice in Manhattan, has gained nationwide recognition as the Medical Contributor to CBS News.  She is featured regularly on "CBS This Morning," “CBS Evening News,” and “48 Hours,” reporting on a broad range of medical topics with authority and compassion.  Prior to joining CBS News, Dr. Phillips was the Chief Medical Correspondent for CBS2, New York’s local news affiliate, for 4 years.  Frequently quoted in print, she is a contributing editor for Prevention, and has appeared in feature articles for Vogue, Cosmopolitan, “O” The Oprah Magazine, and Town and Country among others.
Dr. Phillips is the author of new book, “The Exhaustion Breakthrough,” published by Rodale, June 2015.
After graduating cum laude with a B.A. in English from Williams College, Dr. Phillips obtained a medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.  During her residency at Lenox Hill Hospital, she was awarded the Letter of Commendation for Outstanding Performance in Women’s Health.  At her Upper East Side practice, which has thrived for 12 years, she addresses all Internal Medicine Conditions, with a focus on preventive women’s health.  Dr. Phillips is also well versed in complementary and alternative medicine, and views the integration of both schools of thought as the modern paradigm of medicine today.  She is an active member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the Independent Doctor’s Association of New York.
Dr. Phillips lives in Manhattan with her husband, two young daughters, and an elderly Yorkie.

Ms. Tunie is Chair Emerita of the Board of Directors of FIGURE SKATING IN HARLEM, a non-profit that teaches education and life skills to young girls in the Harlem community through the art and discipline of Figure Skating, President of the Board of Directors of HARLEM STAGE/THE GATEHOUSE and serves on the Board of Directors of GOD’S LOVE WE DELIVER.  She also serves on the Advisory Board of HEARTS of GOLD.
Ms Tunie is the VP of Strategic Partnerships at STORYVERSE STUDIOS and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Carnegie-Mellon University.
